What the work can look like
Rather than treating behavior as something to simply stop, consultation considers what happens before it, what the person may be communicating or avoiding, how others respond, and what consequences may be maintaining the pattern.
The result is a more informed plan that can include changes to expectations, routines, reinforcement, communication, or the environment around the behavior.
